Swanson
Keith Swanson is the Director of Fraud, Financial Crimes and Security Intelligence for SAS Asia Pacific/Japan. Keith has worked with customers or directly for organisations across North America and Asia in industries including Financial Services, Government, and Communications, with many of these with global or regional remit. Keith and the Global Fraud/FC/SI practice work extensively with customers in developing strategies and applying solutions to combat financial crime, fraud, waste and abuse, and security initiatives, including public security, and intelligence, with measurable results in helping those customers address their business and regulatory challenges. Keith’s work with customers, SAS colleagues, and partners has helped grow the SAS APAC/J fraud and security business by over 15x in the last 6 years. Keith has presented to a variety of industry bodies and organisations including Executive Briefings, Bankers Associations, Industry conferences and leading consultancies.
Prior to joining SAS in late 2010, Keith held a number of senior positions with a longstanding SAS customer in the financial services sector in the USA. He also spent time in management, business process and analytics consulting with leading organisations including IBM Global Business Services where he worked with clients to identify and deliver business value in financial and customer intelligence, advanced customer insight, business analytics strategy and advanced analytics and optimisation across a variety of industries. Key to his experience is understanding how individual and group behavioural insights can be used to address a variety of business opportunities and challenges, being able to discuss and translate across IT, business and project groups.
Since earning his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Physics from Illinois Wesleyan University, and commenced studies for his Master of Business Administration at the University of Texas at Dallas; Keith has demonstrate the application of Analytics through a variety of roles he has undertaken over the years. In addition, he has also acquired Project Management Institute (PMP) and Life Management Institute (FLMI) accreditations and is part of Forrester’s Database Marketing Council.
