Overview
Cybercrime is a significant illicit finance threat: the size, reach, speed, and accessibility of the U.S. financial system make covered institutions attractive targets to criminals, including terrorists and state actors. FinCEN has issued advisories with respect to cyber-related crimes including ransomware and COVID-19 related cybercrime and has included cybercrime, including relevant cybersecurity and virtual currency considerations in the National Anti-Money Laundering Priorities. Join the ACAMS Omaha Chapter Board as we speak with local cybersecurity experts responsible for Cybersecurity processes and procedures at member banks.
Attendees will learn:
- The intersection between Information Security and BSA departments and best practices for communicating effectively and collaborating during a triggering event
- The importance of digital data being passed to law enforcement timely after an event occurs
- Red Flags and best practices to implement to protect your institution and customers from cybersecurity threats
