Samuel Barnett is as a Policy Advisor in the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes (TFFC). He leads policy coordination, development, and outreach for Treasury’s efforts to counter corruption, human rights abuses, and related issue, including through the use of relevant anti-money laundering/countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) and sanctions authorities. Prior to joining Treasury, Samuel was acting Chief of Staff and research analyst to Ambassador Bill Burns at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He also previously worked in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament, supporting parliamentary inquiries into energy, financial, and governance issues.
