Based on a survey conducted by the Financial Information Systems Center (FISC) in FY2022 on AML/CFT systems at Japanese financial institutions, this presentation will provide an overview of the current status of AML/CFT systems, examples of effectiveness verification, and examples of AI applications. As an advanced case study, we will also introduce network analysis and AI applications at Bank of Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. Based on the above, the FISC and financial institutions will ask questions to get better understanding of AML/CFT systems.

We also hope that financial institutions will make use of this information to improve and upgrade their own AML/CFT systems using better understanding of AML/CFT systems.
