Overview
Following Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine, a number of jurisdictions across the world have imposed significant sanctions packages against Russia, with many more options reportedly on the table. US President Joe Biden has promised that ‘severe costs’ will be imposed on Russia, while UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and European Commissioner Ursula Von Der Leyen have described their sanctions packages as ‘the largest ever’ and ‘massive’, respectively. In this virtual Global Roundtable, leading sanctions experts will discuss the current sanctions state of play, key industry considerations, and implementation challenges, as well as the potential for additional restrictions as the crisis evolves. Participants can take part in the conversation through use of the live Q&A function.
This global roundtable comes as part of ACAMS’ Ukraine rapid-response initiative, which also includes a special Russia-focused Monthly Sanctions Update for March.
