John Brunetti is currently an Executive Director at Standard Chartered Bank where he serves as the Head of Risk Assessment for Conduct, Financial Crime and Compliance in the Americas. He is responsible for delivering the annual BSA/AML, Sanctions, and ABC Risk Assessment processes in the US and partners with colleagues across the Bank to help drive a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk identification through various senior leadership committees. John possesses over two decades of compliance experience through various regulatory compliance and financial crime compliance positions in banking institutions specializing in Broker Dealer, Investment Management, and Corporate & Investment Banking businesses. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, he had extensive experience in risk management roles related to risk assessments, business advisory, analytics, regulatory exam coordination, monitoring and testing, surveillance, investigations and implementing large scale processes while at Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, Citigroup, and Morgan Stanley.
