Magelah is a lawyer and social scientist working in Uganda. He is the founding Partner of Kasadha and Partner Co. Advocates, a law firm that specializes in general legal practice in Uganda.

He is an Executive Director of the Development Network of Indigenous Associations (DENIVA), a network of 700 local organizations in Uganda, and has previously worked with Chapter Four Uganda where he was involved in Public Interest and Strategic Litigation, support for NGOs in legal compliance including Anti Money Laundering Laws, company laws and NGO laws. He has also worked on several government-NGO committees for drafting of different laws as well as assessment of different impacts of laws in Uganda.
