Overview

Elder abuse continues to be a pervasive problem throughout the world.  In its last elder abuse report released in 2023, the FBI identified $3.4 billion in losses reported through the IC3, an 11% year over year increase over the prior year.  Elder abuse takes a variety of forms, from a variety of scams perpetrated on the elderly population, to neglect and abuse. Join the NJ Chapter of ACAMS as we welcome members from the NJ Office of the Attorney General discussing identifying elder fraud and exploitation, types of investment scams and the details of the Senior Safe Act.
