Erik Rosenblatt

Erik is the Global Head of the Financial Intelligence Unit at Circle, a financial technology firm that enables businesses to harness the power of digital currencies and public blockchains for payments, commerce and financial applications.

Prior to joining Circle, Erik was the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Deputy Assistant Director over the Combating Transnational Organized Crime division, leading the HSI global investigations portfolio. Preceding this role, Erik was the Deputy Special Agent in Charge of HSI New York and led the New York El Dorado Financial Crimes Task Force, the premier global financial crimes task force, comprising over 300 special agents, detectives, prosecutors and analysts from 35 international, federal and local agencies.

During his 24-year career as a special agent and various senior leadership roles with Homeland Security and Treasury, Erik specialized in combatting financial frauds schemes, money laundering, financing of terrorism and other transnational crime, and the criminal exploitation of virtual assets and other value transfer platforms. Since 2018, Erik has been a Treasury delegate to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
