Rebecca is a London-based consultant in Control Risks’ Business Intelligence practice covering the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Rebecca contributes to and leads multi-country business intelligence, due diligence, fraud-focused network analysis and dispute support projects across the region. Rebecca’s work for Control Risks includes management of complex sanctions compliance due diligence assessments to support clients operating in high-risk jurisdictions such as Iran, Iraq, and Syria.
Rebecca spent three years in Control Risks’ Dubai hub, before relocating to the company’s headquarters in London in 2020. Prior to joining Control Risks, Rebecca worked for a UK-based charity and for a London-based security analysis think tank, covering the Gulf region and Iran. She has worked and travelled extensively across the Middle East and North Africa region, including in Iran, and recent travel to Syria and Iraq. Rebecca speaks French and Persian and graduated with a master’s degree in Persian and English Literature from the University of Edinburgh, with a focus on Iranian politics and literature
