Cockayne
Professor James Cockayne is Founder and Senior Fellow with the Liechtenstein Initiative for Finance Against Slavery and Trafficking (FAST). He is Professor of Global Politics and Anti-Slavery at the University of Nottingham, and serves in the Secretariat of Investors Against Slavery and Trafficking Asia-Pacific.
Professor Cockayne has served as the Chair of the US Council on Foreign Relations Study Group on Trafficking in Persons since 2020. He is a Member of the World Economic Forum Global Futures Council for the New Agenda on Equity & Social Justice.
His most recent books are Developing Freedom: The Sustainable Development Case for Ending Modern Slavery (UNU, 2021) and Hidden Power: The Strategic Logic of Organized Crime (Oxford University Press, 2016).
