Stephen
Muldrow
Since October 2019, W. Stephen Muldrow has served as the United States Attorney for the District of Puerto Rico. In that role, he is the chief federal law enforcement officer for that district, overseeing criminal, civil, appellate, and asset forfeiture matters involving federal law and the interests of the United States.
From 2001 to 2019, U.S. Attorney Muldrow served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA) in the Middle District of Florida, the second most populous federal district in the United States. In that office, he served as the Acting United States Attorney, the First Assistant U.S. Attorney, Chief of the Major Crimes Section, Senior Litigation Counsel, and an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) AUSA. From 1995 to 2001, he served as an AUSA in the District of Puerto Rico, where he was the Lead OCDETF prosecutor and Coordinator of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force. From 1989 to 1995, he served as a Trial Attorney and Senior Trial Attorney with the Department of Justice, Tax Division, Civil Trial Section, Northern Region.
U.S. Attorney Muldrow earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a minor in Spanish from Bucknell University (1986), his law degree, with honors, from The American University, Washington College of Law (1989), and a Master of Arts in Law & International Affairs from The American University (1989).
