Overview

Following ACAMS South Africa’s first event on 11 April 2024 which featured the Financial Intelligence Centre outlining its view on beneficial ownership in South Africa, we are continuing with the topic but for our second event will feature both the Prudential Authority (PA) and the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and will cover their key focus areas.

In this webinar, we will:

• Understand the PA’s and FSCA’s perspective on compliance with Beneficial Ownership requirements.
• Discuss the current challenges regarding Beneficial Ownership requirements from the perspectives of both accountable institutions and the PA/FSCA.
• Look at practical advice for accountable institutions regarding next steps, such as updating RMCPs and RBAs.

Organisations will be required to fully comply with this requirement and understanding the intricacies of beneficial ownership will assist them to adequately manage associated financial crime risks.
