Kelvin Choy is a Certified Public Accountant (AICPA) and a Business Risk & Controls Manager at HSBC Global Asset Management (Canada). His responsibilities include managing the overall enterprise risk management program, which includes AML and Sanctions risk and control assessments, conducting 1st LoD internal reviews, drafting policies and procedures, and handling all incident management.
Prior to joining HSBC, Kelvin was with PwC Hong Kong and Vancouver, where he specialised in financial crime compliance, anti-money laundering, internal audit, and forensic investigations. He has worked with numerous financial institutions to ensure their compliance with regulatory rules and requirements and to develop their in-house compliance programmes. He has also been engaged in a range of forensic investigations involving asset misappropriation and fraudulent financial reporting.
Kelvin obtained his CAMS designation in 2019.
