Joshua Kirschenbaum is currently the Senior Vice President for Sanctions and Anti-Bribery/ Anti-Corruption at City National Bank, a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Canada. Prior to joining City National in 2023, he served as the Deputy BSA/OFAC Officer at a regional bank based in Los Angeles. He worked on sanctions and money laundering in the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network from 2011 to 2018 and was the senior fellow for illicit finance at the German Marshall Fund of the United States from 2018 to 2019.
