Overview
Organised by the ACAMS Australasian Chapter in partnership with Transparency International PNG and PNG Institute of Banking and Business Management.
This event is directed at designated banking institutions, non-bank lenders, and non-financial entities such as law firms, real estate agencies, and accountancy practices. Papua New Guinea is anticipated to be Grey Listed by FATF by the end of 2025, which will have significant repercussions for the PNG economy.
ACAMS Australasian Chapter and Transparency International PNG are collaborating to unite educators and stakeholders to discuss actionable steps to mitigate the effects of the Grey Listing on PNG and Reporting entities. Experts will provide insights on designing, implementing, and maintaining frameworks to prevent corruption, effectively assess risks, and manage correspondent banking relationships.
