Overview
On the 29th of June, Protiviti and ACAMS will host an event on ESG and Human trafficking.
Jaap Gerkes (Managing Director at Protiviti NL and ESG expert) will kick off the event by providing a broad view on ESG and its regulations for the financial sector.
Roy Nijenhuis (Senior Intelligence Specialist and Project leader at Centre of Expertise on Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling (EMM)) will elaborate on how the EMM recognizes hidden signals of human trafficking by its information-driven way of working.
Rob van’t Oever (Managing Director a Factual corporate investigations and former Global Head of Intelligence at ABN AMRO), Dr. Jill Coster van Voorhout (Principal investigator and project director of the NWO-funded research project COMCRIM), and Dr. Julia Muraszkiewicz (Head of Program for Human Trafficking & Human Rights at Trilateral Research) will explain the importance of partnerships to combat the human trafficking risk; how to support the victims; the role of the financial industry in identifying victims and criminals; the importance of data in ESG matters; and how to leverage quantitative and qualitative data to answer key questions.
