William Capra is a special agent with over seventeen years of experience within the Department of Homeland Security. Prior to joining Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Cyber Financial Unit as a program manager, he was assigned to a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) sponsored Cybercrime Investigations Task Force led by HSI Philadelphia. Special Agent Capra has received national awards from the directors of FinCEN, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and HIDTA for his efforts in multi-agency investigations related to the illicit use of cryptocurrency by a Chinese fentanyl smuggling organization and a terrorist organization’s online crowdfunding efforts. Special Agent Capra has earned seven Global Information Assurance Certifications (GIAC) related to penetration testing, computer forensics, and cyber threat intelligence. He also is a certified Chainalysis’ Reactor user. In his free time, he and his wife enjoy watching their sons participate in football, baseball, and wrestling for recreational and private organizations.
