Kristian Perks

Kristian Perks serves as the Director of Product Development & Solutions at Thomson Reuters Special Services (TRSS), where he oversees the management, operations, and strategic direction of commercial financial crimes solutions. Since joining TRSS in January 2023, Kristian has leveraged his expertise to advance the company's commercial initiatives. Before his tenure at TRSS, Kristian developed research theories on cross-cultural usability and led user-centered design projects for Fortune 500 companies and innovative start-ups. His experience spans various roles at Financial Institutions, where he managed data governance, model risk, program risk analysis, enterprise screening, and digital asset programs. Kristian is a recognized leader in financial crimes compliance, focusing on emerging applications, digital infrastructure, and evolving trends, while evaluating associated risks and controls. Additionally, he has contributed to non-profit organizations by designing software aimed at combating human trafficking and child exploitation. Based in Charleston, SC, Kristian is an honors graduate from UNC-Chapel Hill and holds ACAMS certification.
