Overview
The ACAMS Luxembourg Chapter is pleased to organise, together with the law firm Arendt & Medernach, an event about “AMLA and the Interaction with Other AFC Authorities”.
We are proud to have a panel of high-level speakers joining us this time. Olivier Salles (Ad Interim Director of the AML Authority), Gabriel Seixas (European Prosecutor at EPPO) and Max Braun (Head of FIU in Luxembourg), who will share their insights about the upcoming AML regulatory changes and how the different players, notably the newly established the Authority for Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism, will be interacting towards a more harmonised approach within the EU.
The topics being presented include:
- The role of the COM / AMLA Task Force
- State of play of the initial establishment of AMLA
- Next steps for AMLA – timelines (including possible consequences for the business)
- The actions of the EPPO
- The avenues for cooperation between the EPPO and the AMLA
- The involvement of FIUs in EPPO’s investigations
As it is anticipated that this topic will lead to good discussions and potentially many questions, we will host a Q&A session with the three speakers and Sandrine Periot (Partner at Arendt) to answer questions from the audience.
We invite you to submit topic related questions to luxembourgchapter@acams.org by 6th December to be selected and addressed during the Q & A session.
