David Gagaille, CGSS

David has 20 years of experience in the banking industry, mainly as a manager within the advisory department of a “big four” where he performed engagements in Risks, Strategy, Organization, high value Training, Internal Audit, Payments, Compliance, Forensic, etc. He has a passion for Compliance since 2010, year during which he started to lead the French teams of a major Forensic project: 4 years of investigation and analysis of potentially sanctioned transactions due to OFAC sanctions and asset freezing, on behalf of a major French Bank and its lawyers. The investigation ended with the biggest fine in financial history.

In 2017 David was Global Head of Financial Security of CACEIS (subsidiary of Crédit Agricole) and then launched Ericius Solutions, the first Advisory Firm exclusively dedicated to Financial Security: during 3 years he acted as a Transition Manager in a variety of institutions (Boursorama, LCL, Younited Credit, etc.), leading subjects such as FATCA, Fraud, Financial Security, KYC and remediation plans.

Since Sept. 2021, David is building a Fintech (Mon Ami Poto) where he oversees Compliance, Risks, Internal Control, Ethics and ESG: the EMI Mon Ami Poto is aspiring to become the trusted third party of charity business in France, thanks to a disruptive digital currency (the “Poto”) bringing a complete financial transparency on donations, allowed by its blockchain-like coding, publicly accessible.

David participates for different ACAMS initiatives: he headed the first French translation of the CGSS manual, created webinars focused on corruption, and has been teaching CGSS virtual classes since 2020.

He is a mechanical engineer, holds a master from HEC, and wrote a variety of articles in the French press (Revue Banque) about Risk management, Regulations and Compliance. Also, a karate instructor.
