Emma Smy is a Deputy Head of Fraud Threat Leadership in the NECC. The NECC brings together multiple agencies across law enforcement, justice agencies, regulatory bodies and the private sector to coordinate and task the UK’s response to economic crime. NECC Fraud Threat Leadership set the strategic direction for the whole system response to fraud. Emma’s current portfolios include technology as an enabler and victim engagement platform for fraud, working with industry and the signatories of the Online Fraud Charter to reduce cyber-enabled and online fraud.
Emma joined the NCA from the Serious Fraud Office where she was a Senior Investigator, following a career in policing as a Detective in the Metropolitan Police Service.
