Melissa Sevil

Melissa Sevil worked in the technical assistance and training area of the Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG) Secretariat for a number of years before taking on a leadership role in the Governance & Policy unit in 2019. In this role, in addition to managing staff, she was involved in strategic financial and event management, policy development, reform work, and mutual evaluation and follow-up processes for APG members. She is currently acting in the Deputy Executive Secretary role in the Secretariat.

Prior to the APG, Melissa spent eight years in the Australian Federal Police’s cybercrime prevention team and managed a number of domestic and international cybercrime prevention programs.  She also held a crime prevention policy role in the New South Wales Police Force.
