Duncan Schembri is a Police Inspector stationed at the Blockchain Analysis Unit of the Malta Police Force. He has over 24 years’ experience in Policing. For the past 13 years he has been directly involved in Financial crimes, Money Laundering and Cybercrime investigations. Back in 2019, Inspector Schembri, has been entrusted to spearhead the setting up of the Blockchain Analysis Unit (BAU) of the Malta Police Force which he still leads till today. Inspector Schembri is entrusted with cryptocurrency related investigations and highly complex on-chain analysis.
He is a certified Chainalysis Investigation Specialist (CISC) and TRM Advanced Crypto Investigator (TRM-ACI).
