Andy Walker was until October 2020 the Head of the AML/CFT department in the Supervision & Authorisation division of the QFC Regulatory Authority.
Over a 30 year career, he has specialised in AML/CFT since 1998, starting with the Isle of Man Government Financial Supervision Commission.
Andy has held a variety of roles in the UK private sector at RSA, HBOS, Pershing, and Co-operative Bank, as well over 10 years in advisory and MLRO roles in the Middle East with Mashreq Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and Gulf Bank.
Andy holds a BA in Hispanic Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Regulation and Compliance Management, the ICA Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention, and CAMS and Advanced CAMS-Audit from ACAMS.
