In the present context of the debate on aggressive tax planning and base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) Vinod is translating all current EU and OECD developments into valuable impact analyses for multinational companies headquartered in the US, EU and ASPAC. These analyses include all relevant unilateral and multilateral substantive corporate tax measures, tax transparency and disclosure requirements.
Vinod also supports companies in developing internal tax policies to meet evolving new requirements related to tax strategy, tax principles, tax codes of conduct and tax risk management of multinational companies, including for example the Dutch Central Bank requirements for banks to develop tax risk policies as part of a systematic integrity risk analysis (SIRA).
Before joining KPMG, Vinod was a senior policy adviser with the European Commission in Brussels focusing on the fight against harmful tax practices and a senior policy adviser with the Dutch Ministry of Finance representing the Netherlands in the field double tax treaties.
