ACAMS Poland Chapter May 2025 Event: Shadow Economy

Overview

The event will focus on a presentation and introduction into Shadow Economy Theory, including its links with Intellectual property Crime including Organized Crime and Terrorism.

This topic is of significant importance in international economies and geopolitics, however it is generally an unknown subject and more often its impact is completely misunderstood and misinterpreted.

After introduction there will be an explanation of the theory including its effects and nexus the global economy and also the compliance world.

The presentation is being given by Todd Clements as part of his role as a Fellow of the Center on Shadow Economics and as an expert for the EU Intellectual Property Office.

It will be followed up by a panel discussion and auspice Q&A on the topic led by Luiza Jarocka.
