Overview
The scourge of human trafficking remains one of the most significant exploitative crimes of our times. The many thousands of victims who have been subject to cruel and degrading treatment by their captors require sensitive handling to ensure they retain access to the financial system. In many cases, those victims do not have access to the information and documents generally required to maintain a bank account or to access funds. This webinar will address how victims of trafficking, forced labor, modern slavery or sexual exploitation can be integrated into the banking system in a fair and respectful way while managing outstanding risks. It will focus on practical actions that can reduce friction and ensure victims receive the services they require in a timely fashion through a process of victim identification and safeguarding.
