Detective Acting Inspector Warren Lysaght is a senior investigator and team leader with substantial experience in criminal investigation.
In 2015, was awarded the NSW Police Force ‘Michael O’Brien Scholarship’ to study how money laundering investigations are managed by international law enforcement. Study was made through invitation to meet with law enforcement agencies across the United States, Canada and Hong Kong.
Detective Acting Inspector LYSAGHT had a key role in the development of the NSW Police Money Laundering Unit embedded within State Crime Command’s `Organised Crime Squad and took the lead in a number of investigations and briefs of evidence targeting international money laundering syndicates operating out of NSW.
Detective Acting Inspector LYSAGHT developed an internal course to break down money laundering to criminal investigators and promote money laundering investigations. He also created a system to proactively assist the detection of money used in criminal activity which is utilised by all the NSW Police Force.
