Teana is the Managing Director of Looking Glass Labs, a consultancy specialising in business and commercial strategy, policy, and regulatory and government affairs for the digital assets, blockchain, fintech, and regtech sectors. Teana is passionate about the opportunities emerging from digital assets - as a global formation of capital, through the tokenisation of products and services and as a burgeoning asset class. She possesses more than 20 years of experience in commercial strategy, proposition development, and policy and communications, with a depth of expertise in the fintech, crypto, transaction banking and payments and capital markets sectors. She leverages her experience within both the traditional finance and digital asset industries to bridge two ecosystems with shared commercial, regulatory and reputational challenges.
Previously, Teana was the U.K. Director for Binance responsible for its U.K. and European expansion, overseeing U.K. market strategy, new business and partnerships and the product development of Binance.UK, a new trading platform, as well as government relations and regulatory affairs in Europe.
Prior to Binance, Teana was the Executive Director and board member of Global Digital Finance, a not-for-profit initiative fostering discussion on global policy and governance for blockchain and digital assets with policymakers, regulators and industry participants, conducting outreach to build a shared understanding of the risks and opportunities presented by tokens and digital currencies. Teana has held senior strategy, communications and marketing positions at Coinfloor, HSBC, Citi, Fiserv and Royal Bank of Scotland and Hilton Hotels.
Teana is a Vice-Chair of the Blockchain for Europe Board. She is a frequent editorial contributor and speaker at industry events. She was recognised as one of the Standout 35 of the most influential women in Fintech globally within the Innovate Finance 2018 Women in Fintech Powerlist and won the Blockchain Leaders category in the Women In Tech Awards 2019.
