Stelnicki
Ms. Joanna Stelnicki is an Export Control Officer for the U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security’s Hong Kong Export Control Office. In addition to Hong Kong, Ms. Stelnicki is responsible for conducting end use checks on U.S. exports to Japan and Macau. Ms. Stelnicki also provides BIS Headquarters with a regional perspective on policy issues and provides export control guidance to government and private sector entities. Prior to her role as an ECO, Ms. Stelnicki was a special agent with the Office of Export Enforcement New York Field Office, where she assisted exporters in compliance with U.S. export regulations and investigated related regulatory and criminal violations of the EAR. Before joining BIS, Ms. Stelnicki conducted regulatory and criminal investigations of the diversion of prescription medication at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
Ms. Stelnicki holds a Master of Science in criminal justice from Wayne State University in Detroit. Prior to her federal career, Ms. Stelnicki earned bachelor’s degrees in education and Spanish and was an educator in Detroit.
