Gagik Sargsyan

Gagik is the Founder & CEO of Polixis. His core expertise lies at the intersection of AML regulation and the associated challenges in data and technology. He is recognized as one of Switzerland’s leading experts on AML and KYC matters and is a frequent speaker at various banking conferences and compliance associations.

Before founding Polixis in 2012, he served as Co-Head of HSBC’s Group Private Banking Due Diligence Office for Russia & CEE and worked as a Compliance Officer in BNP Paribas’s Swiss office.

For the past 14 years, he has also been an advisor to United Nations bodies on regulatory matters for Russia and CIS. Additionally, he is the author of numerous publications on AML and financial crime topics, featured in Swiss university presse, as well as prominent Swiss and Russian newspapers and journals.

Gagik holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Geneva’s Graduate Institute and a BA in Political Science from Sorbonne University (Panthéon-Sorbonne-1).
