Scott Hartman is the Co-Chief of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. Prior to assuming that position, Mr. Hartman investigated and prosecuted a wide array of significant securities fraud cases, including the criminal investigation that resulted in the conviction of Congressman Christopher Collins for insider trading. In 2020 he was the recipient of the Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service.
Mr. Hartman holds degrees from Columbia University and Yale Law School. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Gerard E. Lynch of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Honorable Denise Cote of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
