ACAMS Atlanta Chapter meeting will include event speaker, Taylor Fernandez, US Postal Inspector.
Taylor Fernandez has been a United States Postal Inspector for 18 years. She began her career in the Miami, FL Division. While in Miami, Inspector Fernandez worked various assignments including narcotics investigations, international mail theft/identity theft investigations, revenue fraud and money laundering investigations. In 2016, she was promoted to the position of Team Leader in Atlanta, GA. As a Team Leader, Inspector Fernandez has supervised teams investigating narcotics and firearms trafficking, dangerous mail investigations, mail fraud, money laundering and revenue investigations. She also has oversight of the Savannah, GA domicile where team members work a multi-functional assignment to include narcotics, mail theft, mail fraud and violent crimes. Additionally, Inspector Fernandez is responsible for various security functions within the Atlanta Division. This includes oversight for all USPIS emergency preparedness programs for postal facilities in GA, NC, SC and TN. Inspector Fernandez regularly serves as the USPIS Atlanta Division Incident Commander for hurricane responses within her territory to aid in the recovery and resumption of postal operations. Inspector Fernandez also serves as an agency Subject Matter Expert and instructor in money laundering investigations involving postal money orders.
