Overview
Human trafficking is horrific, destructive crime, and a global problem, with an estimated 27.6 million victims of human trafficking worldwide, according to the US Department of State. Human trafficking is not a monolithic issue that ends when the victim is rescued or released; rather, this crime takes many forms, and results in a lifetime of physical and psychological damage for the victims. Join the NJ ACAMS chapter for an in-person event, where the NJ Division of Criminal Justice will discuss various ways in which persons find themselves being trafficked. The presentation will also include typologies and case studies to assist financial institutions in identifying and reporting this heinous crime.
