Overview

The ACAMS Kansas City Chapter will host our first annual `Fintech Financial Crime Prevention Forum' on May 9, 2024. This event is designed to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among the fintech ecosystem's most vital stakeholders. This includes fintech companies, regulators, law enforcement agencies, and sponsor banks. The event aims to address best practices, regulatory challenges, and the latest trends in combating financial crime within the fintech sector, with a particular focus on synthetic ID fraud and banking as a service.

The forum will consist of four separate panels, each offering a unique perspective on financial crime prevention within the fintech industry:

• Regulators Panel: Discussions will focus on the evolving regulatory landscape, the impact of regulations on fintech operations, and the future of fintech regulation.
• Law Enforcement Panel: This panel will offer insights into the collaboration between law enforcement and the fintech industry to address financial crimes, highlighting case studies and success stories.
• Fintech Compliance Officers Panel: Participants will discuss the challenges and strategies in implementing effective compliance programs within fintech companies, emphasizing innovative solutions to combat financial crimes.
• Sponsor Bank Compliance Officers Panel: This panel will explore the critical role of sponsor banks in maintaining regulatory compliance for fintech partnerships, focusing on best practices and lessons learned.

The forum is designed not only to provide valuable insights and discussions but also to offer ample opportunities for networking among attendees. A lunch and happy hour are included in the event's schedule, aiming to give attendees a relaxed and informal setting to foster connections, share experiences, and discuss collaboration opportunities.

The Municipal Auditorium Plaza Parking Garage is located at 201 West 13th Street, Kansas City, MO 64105, and services the Kansas City Convention Center.

Entrances are located on Wyandotte Street and Central Street between 12th and 13th Street.

This new space is just a couple blocks away from our previous venue and a short walk from our hotel for out-of-state attendees, the Hotel Phillips Kansas City, Curio Collection by Hilton, ensuring convenience and comfort for all participants.
