Maud Bökkerink is the owner of Bokkerink Compliance International and has over 25 years of experience in the area of integrity, AML/CFT and Sanctions.
During this event Maud will discuss the latest (proposed) changes to the AML legislative framework in the EU. She will explain, amongst others, the (enhanced) customer due diligence requirements as reflected in the proposed EU AML Regulation and what obliged entities should do to anticipate on the proposed changes. Maud will furthermore touch upon the evaluation results of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) for the Netherlands.
Rocio Suarez Gray holds the position of Financial Crime Compliance Director at LexisNexis Risk Solutions, based in London.
During this event Rocio will dive into the topic of negative news checks covering the recently issued guidance from the Wolfsberg Group on how to conduct negative news screening to strengthen awareness of financial crime risks. She will explain the importance and benefits of negative news checks to ensure a robust KYC due diligence as well as common pitfalls and challenges when obtaining reliable negative news data. Questions that will be addressed include: How to conduct effective negative news checks and use it as a way to protect your brand? What’s the added value of using unstructured negative news data? Rocio will also share best practices for a robust AML risk management using negative news information
