Mrs. Samantha Sheen is a financial crime risk professional who recently completed work with a global insurer based in Milan, Italy, where she focused on enhancing its financial crime measures across offices in three continents.

Mrs. Sheen previously worked as the inaugural director of the Financial Crime Division for the Guernsey Financial Services Commission. She joined the Commission in 2010 as its first legal counsel. Prior to joining the Commission, Mrs. Sheen worked as legal counsel for various financial companies both in Canada and Australia. While in Sydney, Australia, Mrs. Sheen worked with a large accountancy firm in its compliance advisory team before moving to Guernsey. Originally from Montreal, Canada, Mrs. Sheen started her legal career in Toronto in the late 1990s.

Moreover, Mrs. Sheen holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration, an LLB and a master’s degree in risk management. She is a member of ACAMS and is a graduate of the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government Strategic Management of Regulatory and Enforcement Agencies program. Mrs. Sheen’s particular area of interest is in relation to the effectiveness of risk management and mitigation measures in influencing changes in staff behavior and culture within financial institutions.

Saba Ullah


Christoforos Livadiotis has been dealing with AML for over 15 years. He is currently the Head of Compliance and the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) of AstroBank Ltd (previously Piraeus Bank (Cyprus) Ltd). His role is to provide independent oversight of the management of the Bank’s compliance with laws, regulations, guidelines and internal policies/procedures relevant to the activities of the Bank, including but not limited to AML. Prior to joining Piraeus Bank (Cyprus) Ltd, Christoforos worked as a financial analyst/investigator in the Unit for Combating Money Laundering (MOKAS), under the Attorney General of the Republic of Cyprus. Part of his responsibilities involved the analysis and the dissemination of disclosures of suspicious transactions reports, international cooperation for multi-country investigations and other relevant information relating to activities suspected of money laundering and terrorist financing. Christoforos holds a BSc from the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Accounting with Management and MSc from the University of Reading – ISMA Centre Business School in International Securities Investment and Banking (ISIB).

Currently Saba is working as a Compliance consultant with Innopay, where she focuses on future solutions and possibilities provided by regulation that cover Reg, Tech and Business. Prior she has worked as a managing consultant with Capgemini Consulting, where she managed projects and advised financial institutions regarding relevant and current topics and (future) legislation that apply to the financial industry globally. Saba is also the Chair of the ACAMS NL Chapter since January this year, prior she had the role of Programming Director for three years.
