Justin Burnham

Justin Burnham is also a Special Agent with HSI and a lead investigator on the Nickel City Financial Task Force.  Justin’s work on the task force has focused primarily on efforts to disrupt the operations and flow of proceeds belonging to fraud organizations that steal billions of dollars from our senior citizens through a particularly heinous form of Elder Fraud known as “Pig Butchering”.  Justin leads a team of investigators and analysts that have achieved tremendous success in choking off the flow of victim funds before they are transferred overseas, and in the last 2 years they have recovered over $12 million for victims of Pig Butchering across the country.  Before becoming a lead investigator in Pig Butchering, Justin spent 14 years as an HSI investigator prosecuting crimes such as narcotics trafficking and child exploitation.  Notably, Justin’s work in child exploitation cases over 10 years resulted in the arrest of hundreds of child predators who received heavy prison sentences because of the severe nature of those crimes.  In addition, Justin participated in the rescue of numerous child victims and the pursuit of justice for hundreds more.  Justin has applied his background in child exploitation cases to take a victim-centered approach in attacking the problem of Pig Butchering and has recovered a tremendous amount of funds for hundreds of victims across America.
