Entered on duty as a Special Agent with the FBI in 2005 and was assigned to the Birmingham Field Office. Over the course of her 19-year career, she has also served in the San Diego, Honolulu, and Jacksonville Divisions, primarily investigating complex financial crimes and health care fraud. In addition, Agent Joiner served as a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) at FBI Headquarters in the Human Resources Division managing the Special Agent mid-level leadership promotion process, and more recently, she served as an SSA and program manager for the New Agent Development Program in the FBI's Training Division. She returned to the Birmingham Division in August 2024 where she is currently investigating complex financial crimes. Prior to joining the FBI, Agent Joiner was a certified public accountant with Price Waterhouse Coopers in corporate tax. She has a bachelor's degree from Samford University in accounting and business management as well as a master's degree in taxation from the University of Denver.
