Special Agent in Charge David Hubbard has been in conservation law enforcement for the past 25 years. His career includes 6 years as Patrol Officer with the NPS and the last 19 years as a Special Agent with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Office of Law Enforcement. During his career he has worked on numerous high profile criminal wildlife trafficking investigations and coordinated efforts with partners from around the world.
SAC Hubbard is currently stationed at USFWS headquarters and manages the Office of Law Enforcement, International Operations Unit, including the USFWS Law Enforcement Attaché’s stationed in China, Thailand, Vietnam, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Gabon, Peru, Brazil and Mexico. In this position, he coordinates international activities related to criminal investigations of wildlife trafficking. Hubbard’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the Service Law Enforcement expertise is available to assist nations worldwide in building law enforcement capacity and pursuing wildlife crime investigations.
Prior to his current assignment, SAC Hubbard managed USFWS law enforcement activities on the U.S./ Mexico border as the Resident Agent in Charge in the San Antonio, Texas field office. SAC Hubbard has a bachelors degree in Biology and Anthropology from the University of Montana.
