Ashlea McKenzie is the Acting Director of Rules Reform at AUSTRAC, leading the development of the new AML/CTF Rules framework.

Ashlea has worked across the private sector and public sector before starting her AUSTRAC career in the legal team.

Recently Ashlea worked with the Attorney-General’s Department on the AML/CTF reforms and AML/CTF Amendment Act 2024 prior to focusing on the new AML/CTF Rules.

Ashlea is currently studying for the CAMS certification to further understand anti-financial crime principles in the reporting entity context.
