ACAMS South Florida Chapter January 2026 Hybrid Event: Venezuela: Geopolitics and Sanctions - Their Impact on Financial Institutions

January 21, 2026 / 9AM–11AM EST Hybrid 2 ACAMS Credits

Overview

Recent developments in Venezuela, including the capture of Nicolás Maduro by United States forces and the resulting geopolitical impact on the region, have raised significant questions for financial institutions regarding sanctions, anti-money laundering (AML) risks, and regulatory expectations. This event will provide a contextual analysis of how these dynamics are affecting Latin America and the strategic role that geopolitics and sanctions regimes play for financial institutions operating in an increasingly complex global environment. This will be the first Spanish-language event hosted by the ACAMS South Florida Chapter, reaffirming its commitment to inclusive and globally relevant programming.
