Gabriel Caballero is a partner in Holland & Knight's Miami office and member of the firm's Financial Services practice group. Mr. Caballero concentrates his practice on the representation of domestic and multinational organizations (including banks, broker dealers, money services businesses, other financial institutions, investment companies, fund managers and private equity groups) on a broad range of business, licensing, regulatory and compliance matters. Prior to joining the firm, he served as an associate general counsel for the U.S. private banking subsidiary of one of the world's largest banks (as measured by market capitalization).

He regularly advises clients on issues relating to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), anti-money laundering, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), financial privacy, consumer protection, virtual/digital currencies (including Bitcoin), and enforcement actions by various federal and state regulatory authorities (e.g., the Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC, CFPB, OFAC, FINRA, SEC and the Florida Office of Financial Regulation). Mr. Caballero has also counseled lenders and borrowers on issues relating to commercial lending, private banking, secured transactions, creditors' rights, letters of credit and negotiable instruments.

Juan Carlos Medrano Castro is an expert in anti-money laundering (AML) and financial compliance, with over 25 years of experience in the international financial sector. He has served as a Compliance Officer and as a member of the Board of Directors of a U.S. bank in Florida, approved by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). He is the founder and president of J&A Global Compliance, a consulting firm specializing in BSA/AML, OFAC sanctions, weapons of mass destruction (WMD) proliferation, and dual-use goods control. Mr. Medrano Castro leads independent reviews and advises financial institutions in the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean. He is also a recognized international speaker on sanctions, compliance, and export control. He received specialized training in disarmament and non-proliferation of WMD from the ASSER Institute and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague. Currently, he serves as the Latin America Ambassador for the International Society for Export Control and Sanctions (ISECS), maintains a collaboration agreement with ACAMS, and is a guest lecturer at the Banking School of Guatemala and the Association of Multiple Banks of the Dominican Republic.

Formulated and properly executed a budget of over $200 million dollars, including congressionally mandated funds to develop and implement several high-level programs and initiatives.
