ACAMS New York Chapter January 2026 Event: Financial Crime at the Speed of Money

January 28, 2026 / 6PM–9PM EST In-Person 30 Rockefeller Plaza, 40th Floor, New York, NY 1 ACAMS Credit

Overview

As payment networks move toward real-time settlement and crypto becomes increasingly integrated into mainstream financial activity, financial crime teams are being forced to manage risk across two fast-moving and highly dynamic ecosystems. This session will examine how illicit finance is evolving within payment platforms and digital assets, what institutions are seeing in practice, and how compliance leaders are adapting programs to address velocity, cross-chain movement, sanctions exposure, and heightened regulatory expectations. The panel will examine the evolving landscape of illicit activity within instant payment and crypto channels, addressing vulnerabilities in areas such as stablecoins and cross-chain mixing, as well as the limitations of current monitoring systems.
