Mirarchi
Adriana Mirarchi is a special agent with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the largest investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security. She has served as an HSI special agent since 2009, leading investigations on financial crimes, human trafficking, intellectual property theft, immigration and document fraud, transnational gangs and more. In 2018 she was promoted to the position of group supervisor in the Norfolk office. In this role, she leads the law enforcement division of the Hampton Roads Human Trafficking Task Force, as well as supervises financial and child exploitation investigations. Mirarchi served as a special agent with the Department of State’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security from 2005 to 2009. She conducted protective details for U.S. and foreign diplomats within the U.S. and abroad. Additionally, she investigated visa, passport and financial fraud; identity theft; and human smuggling/trafficking. She initiated the Eurasian Organized Crime Task Force in Norfolk, Virginia, and trained foreign law enforcement officers on physical protection, screening and defensive tactics. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her service, including awards from the Eastern District of Virginia U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Department of Homeland Security, the Social Security Administration, the Department of State, the Federal Law Enforcement Officer’s Association, and the Virginia Bank Security Association of Tidewater. In 2003, Mirarchi graduated cum laude from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Arts in French West African Studies and Psychology.
