Hamman Tukur
Mr Modibbo R. HammanTukur is the pioneer Director/CEO of the autonomous Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit, (NFIU). As an expert in financial intelligence, Assets recovery and International relations with over 15 years of experience, Mr Tukur has headed several key departments in the sector, including the Strategic Partnership and International Relations of the then NFIU, and External Cooperation Unit of the Economic & Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Mr. Tukur has contributed immensely in the development of Nigeria’s AML/CFT regime. Key amongst them are; Coordination of the lifting of blacklist & all sanctions against Nigeria by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), Coordination of Nigeria’s application to join the Egmont group, Facilitation of successful investigation, prosecution & recovery of assets in AML/CFT cases with international dimensions through effective exchange of intelligence.
Mr Tukur holds a Masters degree in International Business from the University of Salford, Manchester, and a Bachelor Degree in History.
