Melissa
Wisner
Melissa Wisner is the Director of Internal Controls, Governance and Strategy at Paxos. She is responsible for overseeing, strengthening and scaling governance and control programs to support Paxos’ business and international growth in line with regulatory obligations.
Prior to joining Paxos, Melissa held a variety of different roles at HSBC and served recently as the Global Head of Governance, External Engagement and Strategy for HSBC’s new global financial crime function.
Melissa also held several positions at the U.S. Department of the Treasury– including as the Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, where she was responsible for coordinating the Department’s overall policy, regulatory and enforcement activities. Prior to this role, Melissa was the Deputy and Acting Treasury Attache in Beijing, China, where she was responsible for representing Treasury’s interests and enhancing the U.S.-China economic relationship. She initially joined Treasury as a Policy Advisor responsible for Treasury’s counterproliferation portfolio.
Melissa is a graduate of Yale College and Johns Hopkins University SAIS.
