Barriteau
Ms. Barriteau currently serves as the Regional Attaché with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Singapore. Ms. Barriteau is responsible for the oversight of the HSI field offices in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Jakarta, Indonesia which includes operational responsibilities in Brunei and Timor Leste.
Prior to her assignment in Singapore, Ms. Barriteau was the HSI Deputy Special Agent in Charge in Los Angeles, California. With oversight of one of the largest domestic field offices, she managed 250 investigators exercising the broadest federal law enforcement jurisdiction of any agency to include investigations involving Money Laundering/Bulk Cash Smuggling, Narcotics Smuggling/Trafficking, Commercial Trade and Fraud, Export Enforcement/Counter Proliferation, Weapons Smuggling, Anti- Gang Enforcement, Human Rights Violations, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Cyber Crimes/Child Exploitation, Human Smuggling/Trafficking, Export Enforcement, Immigration Document & Benefit Fraud and Worksite Enforcement/Critical Infrastructure Protection.
Ms. Barriteau also served as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge in Los Angeles, and was responsible for the management of the Forensics, Technical Operations, Training and Development and Administrative Support Groups.
Ms. Barriteau began her law enforcement career in 1998 with the City of New York, Office of Revenue and Investigation focusing on financial fraud investigations. In 2000, she expanded her law enforcement career when she joined the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office as a Detective Investigator. In 2003, she began her federal career as a Special Agent with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in Los Angeles California. During this time, she investigated various organizations involved in narcotics trafficking, trade-based money laundering and often enhanced the investigations through undercover activity. In this arena she developed and managed a national undercover platform still in use today.
Ms. Barriteau was later assigned to HSI Headquarters serving at the National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center in Arlington, VA. As the Acting Section Chief of the Outreach and Training Unit she liaised with the private sector and facilitated capacity building programs for state, local and foreign law enforcement officials that included intellectual property rights and trade-based money laundering. She oversaw the development of the procurement training that remains the national standard to this day.
Ms. Barriteau holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Wagner College, Staten Island, NY.
