POLICIES AND SPECIAL SERVICES
Health + Safety Guidance
ACAMS is offering in-person attendance at the Annual APAC AML & Financial Crime Conference 2023 in Singapore in compliance with local government orders permitting such gatherings. Currently, Shangri-La’s safety protocols, Ministry of Health Singapore, and World Health Organization’s (WHO) guidelines do not require hotel guests and conference attendees to wear masks. However, all attendees and staff are still expected to fully comply with applicable safety precautions, such as staying home if exhibiting signs of illness. Masks are optional for anyone choosing to wear one and sanitization stations will be available throughout the meeting space.
If hospitalization rates rise, Singapore could re-instate capacity limits, which could impact the number of attendees permitted at the ACAMS APAC Conference 2023. If this were to occur, you would be notified as to the status of your registration. If state or local capacity restrictions require ACAMS to reduce the number of attendees at the ACAMS APAC Conference 2023, and you are unable to attend the conference in person, you will be provided alternatives, such as the ability to transfer your pass to the next in-person event. Refunds will not be available.
Fully vaccinated travellers entering Singapore do not need to quarantine or have a pre-departure COVID-19 test. For non-vaccinated travellers, pre-departure COVID-19 test and COVID-19 insurance is needed.
For a list of all traveller entry requirements and vaccines from the Singapore Government Immigration Authority, please visit their website.

ACAMS is proud to be a community of private and public sectors industry professionals. In order to facilitate wider participation in our events and in keeping with most ACAMS programmes, we offer special rates for public sector delegates.
- Representatives of the following types of organization are eligible for these preferential rates:
- Government and public organizations (federal, regional and local levels) including central banks, state regulators, financial intelligence units, law enforcement and military
- International bodies e.g., Europol, European Commission, the Financial Action Task Force and MONEYVAL
- Non-Governmental Organizations and Arm’s-Length Bodies
- Publicly funded academic institutions - both academic staff and students
- Think tanks
- 3rd Sector, not-for-profit and registered charities
Public Sector attendees are eligible for a reduced price.
If attendees register at the public sector rate and are not eligible for preferential rates, we will invoice the difference.

Cancellations received on or after March 23, 2023 will not be refunded.
Substitutions of registered attendees must be submitted in writing to apac@acams.org by 12:00 PM (HKT) April 21, 2023. If for any reason ACAMS cancels or reschedules the event, we do not accept responsibility for airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by registrants.
APAC 2023 Refund Policy
ACAMS APAC Conference 2023 passes are non-refundable. Pass holders may request a pass transfer to another person, colleague or client up until April 14, 2023.
Covid-19 Policy: At the discretion of ACAMS, pass holders will receive a refund of a conference pass if the pass holder is unable to attend the in-person event, at any time, in Singapore because the pass holder has been diagnosed with Covid-19 or if government-issued travel restrictions are in place during the event dates. If a pass holder is unable to attend because of the Covid-19 illness, ACAMS reserves the right to request proof of a positive diagnosis. If a pass holder has been potentially exposed to someone who is positive for COVID-19, a pass transfer to a future in-person event can be made.
Government-issued travel restrictions include:
- The country that you live in closes its borders to travel
- The country you live in issues advice not to travel to Singapore
- The country you live in has imposed an unavoidable quarantine on return from travel
- There is an unavoidable quarantine on arrival in Singapore
- There is a further lockdown phase in the country you live in that prevents you from leaving your home except for essential requirements
In the event Singapore announces a return to Covid-19 restrictions, ACAMS will abide by local government and WHO guidelines. Due to new limited seating your conference pass may be subject to change to the next in-person event. Seats will be allocated based on time of purchase.
If the Ministry of Health Singapore imposes a new restriction that prohibits ACAMS from holding an in-person event you will be able to transfer your pass to the next in-person event. Refunds will not be available.
