Rayson is an accomplished risk management and compliance professional with over 23 years of experience in the financial industry. Currently, he holds the position of Chief Risk Officer Asia at Bank Pictet, where he is responsible for overseeing the risk management framework across the region. In this role, he manages financial and non-financial risks, as well as leads the Risk, Compliance, Market Infrastructure and Information Security teams.
Before joining Pictet, Rayson held various leadership and management roles with Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, and UBS, covering AML, Financial Crime, and Sanctions. He played a key role in building the FCC program for Deutsche Bank in Asia and was the first AML Officer for UBS Investment Bank in Singapore. He was the first Managing Director in Compliance for Credit Suisse based in Singapore. Rayson served as CRO, CCO, and Head of Legal at Fintech Scaleup Revolut, where he played a pivotal role in securing their Major Payment Institution (MPI) license in Singapore in 2020.
Rayson is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance risk management and has spearheaded several innovative initiatives in his past roles. He has led the development of network analysis tools, holistic case management solutions, and data science applications to identify risk hotspots.
Rayson is also committed to contributing to the industry and has been recognized for his contributions. He was appointed industry spokesperson by the MAS on the Notice 626 changes in 2015 and led the CS team during the FATF Mutual Evaluation of Singapore in the same year. He has contributed to various industry initiatives, such as the ACIP paper on using Data Analytics in AML/CFT controls and has hosted Wolfsberg planning meetings in APAC on multiple occasions. He was recognized by the Institute of Banking & Finance (IBF) as a Fellow for Compliance in 2020 for his contributions to the Compliance sector in Singapore.
Rayson graduated from the University of London and holds a Diploma in Compliance from the International Compliance Association. He is a certified CAMS Specialist since 2006 and has been a Director of the ACAMS Singapore Chapter since 2014.
